Midterm

This is the image I created for my midterm. I used a variety of sources for the images and texts. Einstein easily is one of the most influential people in recent history. That is why I decided to make have him as the subject for my midterm. I kind of strayed away from my original idea a bit. To create some of the glow, I played around with some of the effects tab.

Essential Typography (Homework # 6)

I chose a quote from one of the most influential people in the 20th century, Albert Einstein. Unlike the previous homework assignments, this composition was made up of images from the internet. I had a lot of difficulties while creating this composition, and I was constantly moving the images around. That's mainly because I didn't know how to put all the images together seemlessly. But because of what the quote was talking about, I felt it was essential to have the varius photos. I attempted to make the earth the focal point of this by first of all, putting it in the front. Also, I lowered the opacity levels of the other photos, except the test image.

Color And Solor scheme (homework #4)

This homework assignment had two image components:

The objective behind creating this first image was to use the very basic colorizing technique. Essentially, this was a watered down approach to creating a duotone image. The image I used is an original digital photo that I took during the summer when I went to the San Francisco Zoo. I had multiple photos, but I thought this would be the best. For the color scheme, I decided to use a brownish/earthy color.

The objective for creating this second image of this assignment was to create a composition using a deliberate color scheme. I ran into difficulty with this because I just didn't have any ideas. So I was browsing through my digital collection. When I came across the yellow flames, I had an idea. As I was doing this, the idol figuring was sitting on my desk and I instantly remembered something that I had been thinking about doing. I decided to put my figuring on fire. So that is what I did. Pretty simple idea, but I think it worked out.
