Unlike the previous homework assignments, this composition was made up of images from the internet. I had a lot of difficulties while creating this composition, and I was constantly moving the images around. That's mainly because I didn't know how to put all the images together seemlessly. But because of what the quote was talking about, I felt it was essential to have the varius photos. I attempted to make the earth the focal point of this by first of all, putting it in the front. Also, I lowered the opacity levels of the other photos, except the test image.

Color And Solor scheme (homework #4)

This homework assignment had two image components:

The objective behind creating this first image was to use the very basic colorizing technique. Essentially, this was a watered down approach to creating a duotone image. The image I used is an original digital photo that I took during the summer when I went to the San Francisco Zoo. I had multiple photos, but I thought this would be the best. For the color scheme, I decided to use a brownish/earthy color.

The objective for creating this second image of this assignment was to create a composition using a deliberate color scheme. I ran into difficulty with this because I just didn't have any ideas. So I was browsing through my digital collection. When I came across the yellow flames, I had an idea. As I was doing this, the idol figuring was sitting on my desk and I instantly remembered something that I had been thinking about doing. I decided to put my figuring on fire. So that is what I did. Pretty simple idea, but I think it worked out.

Duotone_HW #3

This composite was a combination of an original photo, some internet images, and a photo that is from the text's DVD. The person, which happens to be me, was the most difficult part of this composition. First, I had to cut out that wierd shape, which at the time, I was still figuring out the little nuances of the various selection tools. Then I noticed that the shadows indicate the general location of the sun. To make this work, I had to cut out the original sky, replace it with a new one, and put a new sun in a spot that works with the directions of the shadows.
Just for a little flare, I decided to add the moon on the opposite side of the sky. However, I had to play with the opacity a little bit to make it look a little bit more natural. As for the choice of color for the duotone part, I just chose a color that had some sort of calming effect. I didn't use any of the filtering tools for this composite because I feel that it wasn't that appropriate for this composition.
